Hey All,
Over the last couple months, I have noticed many things that makes me proud to be part of this troop:
- The new scouts have been working very hard to earn the requirements to get to Tenderfoot.
- Our older scouts stepped up when leadership is needed and they have done their part.
- The scouts have been active in our troop meetings even when some of the meetings are super boring. Sorry!
It takes a lot character to go every troop meeting with the positive, enthusiastic and certainly energetic attitude.
I thank everybody who has committed he or she's own time and has put forth he or she's own effort towards our troop. You all have been so helpful.
Still we are not perfect. We are close to perfect, but there is some things we still need to work on.
My expectations for future troop meetings are as followed:
- Scouts must come to the troop meetings with the correct uniform. That is the scout uniform tucked in and the neckerchief has to be on.
- Scouts must wear the correct pants to the troop meetings. This means one can wear khakis, bluejeans, or scout pants. NO athletic shorts! (we know that scouts have practice around the troop meeting time. Don't worry if this is case because we understand that this is common.)
Recently, we have been lacking in this area. We need our parents, Assistant Scoutmasters and Scoutmasters to make sure that the scouts are following these expectations.
This is not a momentous change, it is just a little tweak. Previous Senior Patrol Leaders have asked the troop to follow these expectations.
