What is RSS?

RSS is a relatively new way of announcing information via the Internet that is becoming increasingly popular.  Our troop's switch to RSS 2.0 means that you can now get the latest Troop news headlines in more ways!  Thats right - you wont necessarily have to check our webpage to see what the latest news and upcoming events are.

Here are some ways to use it:

  • Webbrowsers: On Firefox, you can add our newsfeed as a Live Bookmark. Internet Explorer 7 should have a similar feature once it comes out.
  • E-mail:  On the Thunderbird e-mail client, you can subscribe to the RSS feed so that announcements on the troop website will appear as new email messages!
  • You can also add our newsfeed to your Yahoo! homepage or Google homepage.
  • There are many other RSS news aggregators out their.  For more information, search the Internet for RSS aggregators

Our newsfeed is www.troop941wc.org/news.rss
